The All India Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS Entrance Examination is a national level undergraduate medical entrance exam conducted by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, for admissions to MBBS programmes. Aspirants appearing for the AIIMS MBBS 2018 entrance exam will be considered for 800 seats across nine different AIIMS institutions. AIIMS New Delhi along with the other AIIMS institutions located in Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Jodhpur, Patna, Raipur and Rishikesh will offer 100 seats along with two new AIIMS in Guntur and Nagpur will offer 50 seats each for this year. Government have already announced to set up a new AIIMS at Madurai, which will be functional in few years.

In the entrance test of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), 60 questions from each subject – Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Apart from these subjects Candidates would be tested with 10 questions from General Knowledge, 10 questions from Aptitude & Logical Thinking.

Out of 200 questions, 120 questions are based on MCQs, 60 questions based on Special Statement based Assertion-Reasoning type and 20 questions from GK and Aptitude & Logical Thinking. There are also one third (-1/3) negative marking for wrong answer. Duration of entrance exam is 3 ½ hrs. AIIMS entrance test is also conducted online.

Qualification Criteria:

  • Qualifying Exam: Passed class 12th (under 10+2 scheme)/SSC examination (CBSE) or Intermediate Science (ISc) or its equivalent examination.
  • Subjects: Pass the above qualifying examination with PCB & English subjects.
  • Appearing Candidates can also apply.
